Advocacy & Media Campaigns

Consumer Rights Commission of Pakistan (CRCP) holds a broad definition of advocacy. At one end it seeks to affect policy or jurisdiction through bilateral approaches and on the other hand it commits itself to affect a change in public opinion or attitude that will bring benefits for a community or group. During various Public Campaigns and programs, CRCP has used this tool to influence public-policy and resource allocation decisions within political, economic, and social systems and institutions. CRCP’s advocacy campaigns include policy dialogues with legislators and parliamentarians, media campaigns, public speaking, commissioning and publishing research or polls etc.

CRCP’s aim has always been to engage, empower, and encourage citizens to become involved in matters concerning Government and Governance. It is through the administration of advocacy campaigns that it has always managed to develop a successful public-private partnership that effectively expresses concerns and redefines priorities before the policy makers, press for recognition of citizen’s rights, and insist on the importance of their voice in public policy.

CRCP also uses advocacy as a tool to find and nurture leadership in public. Through our advocacy campaigns we give general public the tools, skills, and support they need to make their vision happen and their voices heard.
